I've not installed them yet but clearly one only needs to look & feel them to tell which one to go with. As well as which will cover the pesky bezel.
I will install them this weekend and will try to take pics and also take pics of them prior to install to try to show texture, etc. It wont' be tonight though sorry.

Non installed review of Invisible Shield & BodyGuardz (BSE should arrive soon):

VISUAL: They are both textured a bit. The texture on the Invisible Shield is 'bigger' and wider apart whereas the texture on the BodyGuardz if 'fine'. Holding both sheets under light and outside - CLEARLY the most akin to the iPhone back case is the BodyGuards. Shiney with less ripples/texture.
I have Invisible Shield on my MBA and it's gorgeous, but if you want a more "as iphone naked" as possible with the same gloss - BODYGUARDZ wins.

TOUCH/FEEL: Invisible Shield is stickier if sliding a finger across it. Bad for screen, great for back if you want a nice grip. BodyGuardz is silkier, less sticky/grippy, but still grippy of course. I feel it's grippy 'enough'. More than the phone which I feel is already grippy at least vs. the 2g iPhone.

SIZE:  Wow. Laying both back parts flat, the size difference is incredible. BodyGuardz is gosh... 1/4" wider & longer? Very significant. This supports my thinking when looking at the photos around here that the Invisible Shield doesn't cover the bezel well. BodyGuardz is clearly cut bigger all the way around and should provide the needed bezel cover.
Also - the Camera hole on the Invisible Shield is huge. The hole for the BodyGuardz is more the size of the iPhone. About 1/2 the diameter than IS.

So far, BodyGuardz will SOOOOoo be going on my & my husband's phones. The ONLY nod to Invisible Shield is grippyness but BG also has that of course. It's a non-issue. Invisible Shield MIGHT be "thicker" or a bit more padded sort of. It's hard to tell because IS's paper seems more cardboardish so it might be deceiving.

I should be getting my BSE in today and will edit this with that review.
I will take pictures of the sheets/sizes/and when I get around to applying. It won't happen tonight. But trust me. BodyGuardz is the smoothest and most importantly, sized properly for the bezel. Interesting. I'll likely be sending back my IS cuz I'm a nut about bezel scratches.

THanks for your review and future pictures! I'm waiting on my DF from att... already have the BSE and am really considering getting the bodyguardz..

I would be totally happy with the BSE but I'm still worried about the 2 piece design... i'd love to get your thoughts on which is superior. other than that i can comment that the material used by bse is actually pretty solid. doesnt seem very textured.

let us know which is better!

I'm currently thinking of purchasing either Bodyguardz or BSE (mainly because of their cheap price)...

I used Bodyguardz for my 1st gen iPhone and I LOVED it!! but I don't feel like paying $25 again if BSE can offer me similar product

Bodyguardz gives you 2 total body skins for that price. BSE gives 1.
To equal them up (2 BSE's)

$7.47 difference. BodyGuardz gives solution in a ready to go spray bottle wherease BSE you make your own. BG also provides a squeegie

I am aware of this because right after I purchased the Bodyguardz for iPhone 2G, I get to know BSE for iPhone 2G... I was fairly disappointed because BSE for iPhone 2G was comparable to Bodyguardz and I could not justify paying more for the Bodyguardz.

Now, I wanted to know whether BSE for iPhone 3G covered the chrome bezel as well just like the old iPhone 2G because if that's the case, I would rather purchase BSE because it's cheaper and I can make the solution... not very hard to do and obviously i have loads of credit cards or member card that I can use as the squegee card.

Plus I think it's stupid to pay for two pairs of back and front cover because it is fairly unlikely that BOTH of them will be spoilt at once... Especially for me, to use the iPhone solo whereas you can apply the 2nd Bodyguardz on your husband's iPhone. I'd rather do ala-carte and just get 1 pair at first. If my front film broke, I'll just get the front film again etc.

By the way, thank you very much for the review and I'll be waiting for the additional BSE review :)

Does the BG turn yellow after a while?

My BSE did after a couple weeks on the original iPhone

I've had BSE and the invisibleshield turn yellow on me and a few of my friends. That's why I haven't ordered one for the 3G.

just put a BSE on my 3g, and order another for my GF's 3g iphone.

I looks nice, and has a Rubber feel to it, something I love.

covers the bezel, and goes around the buttons very well...

HIghly recommended for sure.

If you're gonna be putting on the back piece, I sure hope you have the black 3G because when I had BSE or anything w/ a back piece, lint and dirt would collect into the curvatures of the skin making it look really ugly. That was w/ my iPhone Classic.

With the new 3Gs, not knowing how scratch resistant the back panel is, a protection film would be ideal.:apple:

How do these skins look on the white iPhone? I think they might go yellowish/dirty after a while which will show more on the white iPhone.

I applied a BSE to a white 3G and you can't even tell it's there. Looks great. Of course, it's only been on a few weeks now. My buddy had an IS on his first gen iphone and it yellowed pretty bad. It may be just a matter of time.....

I went with the BSE I am very happy great price and great customer service. Looks good too there is a link to pictures in my sig

Keep us updated with how it turns out over the next few weeks.
It's pretty good that it hasn't yellowed already though, has it collected dust/debris on the edges? I guess it depends on how good the application was.

I have the BSE on my white 3G and it turned yellow in under 3 weeks. I e-mailed them about it and they're sending me another one. Same thing happened with my original iPhone, but that took 4 months to turn yellow. Not sure if it just shows more on the white 3G.

I wonder if it's the kind of soap being used. I used no-name dish soap.

Does the back and front of the skin still have that "Orange Peel" effect? I used the BSE on my old iPhone and the "Orange Peel" texture made watching videos in the outdoors difficult.

I'd like pics as well! I installed IS the front, but don't care for it. I want the chrome bezel covered too, so I ordered bodyguardz. I'm hoping it fits better and resists fingerprints like IS.

I've got my BSE skin on the glass part of my iphone. I used the back protection one but it picked up dirt and lint around the edges, so I peeled it off...... but the screen one is holding up great. Looks and feels nice.
