Hey guys,
I am working on a friend's computer who encountered a folder/blinking question mark message at startup that we can't get past.
I'm trying to recover data before possibly having to reformat (or replace the drive). I'm working with Data Rescue II, but the program seems to hang up and freeze when the Macbook (with the HD problems) is attached to my Macbook Pro in Target Mode.
My first step was obviously to try to just bring up the drive in target mode in which my computer tells me the drive is "unreadable".
I then tried to access it through data recovery II, but it doesn't see the drive. Is there anything else I can try to get some of this data off?
