Adding another person ...

I'm being nagged to death concerning rumors that another person can be added to an existing iPhone account for $9.99 per month. For clarity, this would mean two subsidized iPhone 3Gs, one account at ~$65.00 a month, and shared minutes between the two.

Can someone verify this as true or false?

My wife just got off the phone with AT&T. They say it's true. So I'm thinking it must be false. (AT&T heheh)
 
Almost... lol You need another $30.00 data plan for the second line. It would be $9.99 to add the second line and then you would have to add another $30.00 data plan to that line as well, making the second line cost $39.99. Other than that, yes, you share the minutes, but it would be ~$95 a month (I just added $30 to your current calculation of $~65 a month).
 
Supposedly a couple of people here have had luck canceling their data plans, so that would make it the price you claim. Otherwise the ~$95.00 is right.
