Help with IIci?

I have the following problem with my IIci. This evening I turned it on. 10 minutes later it cut out although the monitor still had power. Now when I try to start it up it 'pings' and then cuts out immediately after the start-up sound. I have tried a different socket and power bar. So far no luck.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Well, first of all, I'd try resetting the PRAM. Hold down Command+Option+P+R at startup. Hold it down for 3 chimes. If that doesn't clear things up, then try starting up from a startup disk, if you have one. If that doesn't work, I'd have to suspect the power supply has died. You might want to check ebay for another IIci, or similar II series Mac you can scrap for parts. Good luck, that's a cool Mac, I hope it hasn't kicked the bucket.
