How can i make it so that the tracks of say a stand up comedy cd are all joined with no gaps in between?

In iTunes you highlight the tracks you want joined, then select 'Join CD Tracks' from the Advanced menu.

I figured this out while trying to eliminate the annoying gaps from a Christmas medley. 😛

Now what about if i've already ripped the cd? I can only select "join tracks" if it is in cd format prior to encoding to aac.

Any way to do this?

i wondered something additional about this...if i was to rip two tracks as 'joined' and then put them on my iPod they would play continuosly together...but could i also then skip between them [like on the CD] or would i have to actually 'fast forward' through the first song to the entrance point on the second...in short is it listed as one track or as two?

Thanks,
Christien

It's listed as one track, so you'd have to fast-forward through it.

That.s what i was afraid of...Apple needs to fix this because my live CDs [which in the case of DMB and the grateful dead amount to a lot] are better to listen to as CDs as it currently stands...arggh!
