iPhone not recognized in iTunes

When i plug my iPhone into iTunes, iTunes won't recognize it at all.

Im using itunes 7.7 but i downloaded the prereleased update for the original iphone.

I want to get on itunes to restore the phone but it don't know how to.

PLEASE HELP!!!😱
 
Hook it up to your computer and enter dfu mode...see if it recognizes it then. If it does you should be able to restore.
 
Step 1. Turn off your iPhone.

Step 2. Hold down the power and home button.

Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but continue holding the home button down.

Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you that its in restore mode.
 
help me...

ya.. i do the same but i didn't get any alert message that u r iphone is in restore mode in itunes. what can i do please help me guys... i'm using iphone 3g... please help me...🙁
