Poor reception at my house. Can i make voip calls over wifi?

I get lousy reception on my new 3g at my house. My wifi connection is rock solid, however. Is there any way to place calls over the web? Some sort of voip option like skype etc?

BTW: I have jailbroken

No such app has been released to the app store yet. There are other solutions if you have jailbroken your phone though...

thanks for the suggestion, but at 6 cents / min, i'm looking for something free. I know the recipient would also need this voip client in that case, but thats fine.

They gave me a $4.00 credit when I signed up. It's a good voip app, nothing you'd want to use all the time but it's nice when you don't have any signal.
 
According to an article I read:

"ICall Inc.'s planned iPhone application is still in beta testing. Like Truphone's app, it will use wifi links to access the VoIP network. A unique feature is the app's ability to switch from a cellular call to a wifi call without interrupting the conversation. ICall claims that such transfers will happen "seamlessly." CEO Arlo Gilbert said that the application should be available in early August 2008."

I should also note that they wont charge for calls like Truphone's

I can't wait for this App to come out. downloaded truphone saw the per minute charge and deleted it back off. iCall means I can get rid of vonage. Vonage hasn't been bad but would prefer great reception from iphone. When inside it can't access voicemail ever and will only send a call through once in awhile otherwise it goes right to voicemail.

iCall please post an update to your site.
 
iCall looks really cool.. but how is it possibly totally free? I understand how it would be free to call other iCall users, but how can it be free to call a landline/other cellphone over wifi? At somepoint it has to be converted from VOIP into a regular call, and someone has to pay for it. Maybe I should email the iCall people.. I'm just kind of curious about that.
