Wow I just wanted to let everyone know that today on iPhone 3G replacement number 3 day, I went ahead and went to check the firmware version. And low and behold I'm running 5A347 out of the box instead of 5A345. Has anyone else gotten a 5A347 OTB? I checked it for usual dust under screen, glass lifted up, and light leaks and have not found anything wrong.

Hopefully Apple actually got their act together this run...

i think there is a forum on this. The last couple of iPhones I had came with this firmware.

haha that's crazy! I just made a thread about 20 mins ago because I was surprised too!

it's perfectly made and it's running the latest firmware! You got it today huh? Black or White?

Uh, does it really matter....? Anyone who wanted that firmware could have just restored their iPhone.
uhh der because if the originals all shipped with 5A345, that means this is a new batch, uhh so yeah, it really DOES matter.

sweet! Same here dude. I think Apple just pulled out a really good batch of them. It replaced my defective crappy white one (I wanted a black originally) and to my surprise I can't find a flaw. AT ALL. 😎

Are there any light leaks on yours? I dont see any on mine. This is awesome...

How's the build quality? Is this your first or second iPhone 3G LOL? Its a shame I even have to ask that question...

First iPhone for me. Build quality seems solid, though I do notice *some* light leak on the left side.

Same here. My replacement 8 GB black has the latest firmware installed out of the box and all of the flaws I found in the white iPhone I replaced are no where to be found.

True

i actually pointed this out in another thread. Mine is also .347 OTB and is absolutly perfect............

My phone that came in Tuesday had 47.

It seems they are shipping phones directly from the factory.

Of course it matters!! It means this is a new batch.

Jeez dude. I keep running into your posts all over here. Start thinking about what you write before you just post snipey comments and p1ss everyone off.
