Buying a 360 This Weekend -- Where Should I Spend My Money?

I have the following options for instore locations.

1)Walmart
2)Fred Meyers (upper class walmart)
3)Sam Goody
4)Ebgames
5)Radioshack? 🙄

Or amazon online? I'm not sure where has the best procedures for warranties and stuff. Is it all covered by MS? Is there a place that will let me trade it in for a new one right away?
 
Don't buy from EB or Gamestop, they do not offer an extended warranty but a warranty that runs along with the free one from the manufacturer.

Microsoft provides a 1 year general warranty and a 3 year "ring of death" warranty.

All the other stores on your list provide extended warranties.
 
I believe it's Walmart who has a 90-day no questions asked return policy for the 360 though I may be confused with another retailer.

You should look into that
 
I'd compare with Amazon.com. You won't pay any tax but I don't remember is shipping is free. It might be.
 
He won't pay tax anyway being in Oregon (I wanna move there... *sigh*)


What model are you getting Bobbito? If you have the cash, go with the Elite. Conjecture says they are more reliable and the 120gb drive will be awesome come this fall when you can install games and cut down on the noise of the DVD drive.

Yep. Bobber is one lucky bugger. I do miss the no sales tax of Oregon (among other things). That sure beats the 10.25% sales tax we have to pay in this city...

Goodness why is your tax so high. Is it to pay for that dilapidated train system? 😛

I thought Philly was bad with 7% while the rest of the state is 6%. I nearly cried when I found out it was 8% in New York while at school. I think I'd have a heart attack if I ever visit there.
 
So I guess Fred Meyers huh?

The nearest best buy is over the mountains. And yeah, Oregon rocks b/c of no sales tax. If there was, I would definitely buy it off Amazon. I was wanting to get the 299 model.

It's 12% here in BC Canada, was 14% a few years ago. Back east in Canada I think it ranges from 12-16%... It's mucho lame. Public healthcare has it's costs I guess....

Haha. Try the UK with 17.5% or some European countries with 20% +. You get it easy.
