Ask your school's technical help desk for the Pop/IMAP or other settings.

Mine said no because their system is not a traditional Pop or IMAP setup, but I think it's just because they think I'll come to them for support if I need assistance. 🙄

well, what system does it use?
you need to provide more info

i set mine to forward all email to my gmail, and that was synced on my iphone

In all likelyhood you can. What type of system does your school recommend for email access (IMAP, POP3, Exchange)?

I set mine up to work with mail on my MBP, but it was a long time ago and I don't remember how I did it.

Does this mean it would also work with my iPhone?

If your school supports POP or IMAP then you should be good to go.

A good way to tell is to search your schools site for the words POP or IMAP ... usually you'll come across instructions to setup with a email client. Just use those same settings for the iphones Mail.app ... just add a account in the settings menu and select "Other" then enter the settings you found.

I have my school email on my phone as well.

Luckily we have an exchange server running, so it wasn't too hard to figure out.
