With app store now -- what are benefits of jailbreaking?

Is there any benefit to jailbreaking the phone?

I am an at&t customer, so there's no issue there. had the 1st gen iphone, now on my 3g.

never done a jailbreak. i love the apps now.. is there a point to jailbreak?

You get all the lovely apps that Apple will never approve.

Apple doesn't allow every app. This is where jailbreaking comes in =D

i'm glad i did it.
quake, NES, run apps in background, and definitely ssh (access to iphones file structure)
