I just plugged in my new (well used) ipod touch and it was on 1.1.5, and it said something like "You need to update your ipod touch to the most recent firmware (2.0), so I clicked upgrade, and it did, but I wasn't charged, has this happened to anyone else? Works for me. :)

Weird, you might get charged eventually as soon as Jobs sees an inconsistency with his income.

"I should have $2,000,000,010 in my bank account! Someone ripped me off! I must hunt down this villain!"

well I had one with 2.0 already installed, and then I plugged this one in when I got it, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5A347 Safari/525.20)

I got it for free when apple leak iPhone 2.0 update version directly from it's server. After that, when I have trouble with mine, push restore button. Just redownload & install without asking. I think that you once have 2.0 already, iTunes never asks.

I had the exact same thing when I downgraded to 1.1.4 from 2.0, I installed iTunes 7.7 and it automatically tells you theres a 2.0 update and gives u the option to download and update, download only or cancel I clicked download only and well I just by a fluke thought right lets see what happens when I click restore and well low and behold 2.0 agreement popped up and I got it all for free, and couple weeks on I have yet to be charged for the 2.0 firmware :p

if you have 1.1.4 or 1.1.5 ipod and remove ituns (inc the folder in music) and install the latest version again it will ask you about 2.0 and you can just click download now or download and update and u have the full 2.0 firmware
