Noticed 3 dots on top left of IPhone

I'm not sure if this is normal but i noticed 3 holes inside the iPhone located on the top left side, only noticeable with light. If its normal whats the purpose of it?

Those are the Ambient light sensors to turn the phone off while you have it placed to your face. You can reproduce it by covering them and watching the screen turn off.
