Take a look! I changed the desktop buttons to link to a YouTube video! 😉

It wont be like that perminatly, when you shut down or reboot the Apple Store Macs they are "reset" so it will back to normal in a few hours when the store closes! No harm! 🙂

I bet a lot of people are going to be confused, until they get the genius bar folks on it.
 
Are those buttons not meant for booking appointments and such? Seems more annoying to other customers than humorous.
 
Well done. I'm sure people who wanted to use the computer to book appointments and such like very much lol'ed themselves at your madcap antics.
 
The thing that you all realize is that there are a bunch of computers there. Once noticing this, they could have easily just used the one next to it.

VERY funny, since there really are no serious side effects rather than some intense confusion, and some slight annoyance.

I'm sorry but someone agreeing with your antics doesn't mean they have common sense. Actually, I'm not sure you would know common sense if you smacked you in the head. While there are other computers in the store what you fail to realize is that your actions take advantage of Apple's open policy when it comes to their computers. For years people have been hard pressed to try out a windows machine to the extent that you can try out a Mac. Apple has made it very easy for the potential buyer to really have a chance to feel the product out before they pay a premium for their machine.

People like you are a dime a dozen, subsequently it will be children such as yourself that will lead Apple to have to make decisions on whether or not fixing the stupidity of one child is worth their time. They can easily lock their machines down and require employee presence to use them. That would annoy me, as an adult who buys their products, to no end.

Whether you did it to one or all machines you selfishly took away at least one customer's experience in that store. I'm failing to see where that is funny or exhibiting common sense.

On a side note, you didn't "hack" anything.
 
Apple could easily make it so I couldn't do what I done, yes it was not hacking, just basic editing of a text file which is not hidden, this would not lead to Apple locking down their computers. Your just over reacting.

Childish? Maybe. But I, for one, think that messing with people (as long as no permanent damage or harm is done) is funny as sh**. Nice.

Why is everyone so protective of Apple? Geez.....
 
Put yourself in the business owners position, then you might understand. Children think only of their own amusement, not the repercussions of it.

Putting myself in the business owner's position: "Wow, that's weird. Better restart these computers. Oh good, that fixed it."

Please, can you fill us in on the repercussions of this horrible act? Maybe you should forward this thread to the U.N. Human Rights Commission so they can formally condemn PowerFullMac and his heinous act.

And what's with the "children" insults? Maybe you should tone down the self-righteousness a tad?
