What is roaming?

at&t does all its roaming (within the US) transparently, so you are always charged the same rate, anywhere in the 50 states.

or AT&Ts favorite solution to any phone issue;
Turn the power off, remove the battery and wait 1 minute.
Put your phone back together and hope it works

GSM works differently - you don't have to manually update for PRL functionality. Updates are automatically pushed to your phone when turning it off then on, or other times when the network sends them.

Exactly. at&t is always sending updates to your phone, then they are applied when you restart the phone.

TEG
might be a dumb question, but is there anyway to know when they send them to your phone?
