use iWeb, no .Mac, want COMMENTS.

hello,
i have my own domain, i use iWeb to design my site, i don't have .mac or mobileme but i want to have the "comments" function on my website. i'm also looking into having a language translator on my site too. i've seen wordpress sites with small flags denoting different language options. that's cool. i want that.

anyone have any ideas? help me out?

Well iWeb is very simple and it doesn't let you do much, so get a better editting app. Wordpress is just a matter of installing a SQL database and then the installation files on your website.

For basics.... iWeb is fine but once you sink in more, you'll want more features like sitemaps and mod phps and stylesheets which iWeb CANT offer.
iWeb is great for non demanding simple users who'll always accept what it has to offer and LIKE it!
Customizations is beyond iWeb!

Have alook at this page for comments without MobileMe
http://iwebfaq.org/site/iWeb_Feedback_Comments.html

About the language translator:
I speak italian, german, english and french. Browsing on the web I sometimes come across content which simply doesn't make any sense. Nonsense is a hint for language translators. It's awful (rarely funny). Please don't use them.

Regards,
Giovannino

iweb 06 did something I hated (and don't use it a a result). All I was doing was using the iphoto/iweb interoperability to create photo pages for my distant family to view.

If you don't have .mac/mobileme, when you publish a new page, it sends the ENTIRE SITE each time. It's not smart enough to publish just the changed/new pages unless you use .mac/mobileme.

That's a lot of wasted bandwidth.
