Accidentally deleted caches make system crashed

I saw a video post about deleting caches in our library and system will make your macbook run faster and save some space. But after I deleted the files in the folder, i cannot open some of my application like photoshop, flash, illustrator or office. And some words in my macbook is missing eg: Empty Trash became pty rash.

What should i do? 😕 Should i reformat the macbook or is there any way that i can set my system back to the way it was before like windows do without losing my files?

If i have to reformat my macbook, how do i do that? Help appreciated. 🙂
 
You gotta be careful deleting stuff in the library, which library you deleting stuff from, the system library or the user library?
The only caches i delete and do make things happen faster are in safari, I usually choose private browsing to prevent building a history cache. But the apps that won't open, it may be best to re-install those applications
Try a PRAM reset, that speed things up for me after installing leopard.

You should be able to sort it without the need to re-format 😉
 
I've reset the PRAM and everything is fine for the moment... I will try to reinstall all my application because i've deleted those which can't use.

I will post another reply once i finish installing all my application 😉 I'm glad that i can get help from here coz i live in Penang island and nobody knows how to repair mac unless i go back to the apple shop and they will send it to KL for few weeks and the charges are expensive. But i love using macbook although i have a window desktop at home. Thanks again guys...
