Hi all!
Guess what! I got a 10g iPod for christmas and I can't even use it yet! I have an older iMac and i knew it wouldn't be very compatable, but I just assumed (stupidly) that I could at least drag music files from my shared preferences folder into it. I couldn't, and after trying to install OS X (unsuccessfully) and sending an angry e-mail to Apple, I'm getting a new eMac. Go me! Just thought I'd let everyone know. Bye.

sending an angry e-mail to Apple

Take some friggin responsibility for your actions. You assumed wrong, didn't even read the damn box, didn't bother to check the website, yet you feel compelled to moan about it to Apple. You could have asked any one of us here about the iPod, and we would have set you straight.

I can't believe people these days..

why should u be angry at apple...its not their fault its not compatible...things get outdated, its up to you the consumer to make sure you are compatible, i mean you cant expect them to make their latest g5 run stuff on a IIsi

oops

you guys are right...
