Has anyone tried this at the Expo? It certainly looks better than the Belkin recorder.

Not been much response to this. Had a look at the website and, as you say, it certainly seems much nicer than the Belkin - I thought this would be a hot news item as the Belkin attracted so much criticism on its launch.

Personally, I'd like a stereo mike input. I assume the current hardware connector doesn't support this - pity.

can't they just give us a tiny adapter that would allow a line-in?

That's all I want. Then people who just want a mic could add one, and people who want to record from other sources could do that too.

i believe they specifically lack stereo in for piracy prevention reasons. at least, that's the theory i've heard.

Why would lack of stereo dissuade piracy? Just about every song I have (except for PF's Money) is barely stereo anyways.
