I'm trying to find a file on my system, but it's in one of the hidden directories (bin, dev, var...). How do I do a search? There must be a Terminal command I can use or something.

lazy bones method

I use RBrowserLite (freeware) type "cd " in a new terminal and then drag the hidden folder I want onto the same window, hit return, then I type ls return.🙂

It's a really good FTP app aswell.🙂

In the Find File box, add new criteria, select "visibility is: visible or invisible", I think that will find files within invisible folders as well.

Great, found it 🙂

I didn't even know there was a Find box, I've always been using the one in the toolbar!
