Has anyone heard of any programs being developed in order to play poker online with Pokerstars and Full Tilt and others. I think that would be awesome if they were added it even if it wasn't free. Also do you think they could pull that off?

But (this is probably a dumb question) why can't you just download the mac version software for pokerstars?
I was hoping for the same thing. I play full tilt though. I left Poker Stars when they didn't have a Mac version of their software.
I did a proof of concept with VNC. A native app would be awesome!

imagine being in a high stakes cash game or deep in a tourney with high blinds, and you're in a pot, let's say you have half your stack in the pot, with a hand you are willing to go all in with that you feel will win the hand, i.e. Ace high flush or a boat, and your opponent bets out and as you're about to call him or go all in, your connection craps out due to crappy 3g/E signal. and the poker site automatically times you out after xx seconds. i don't know about you, but some of the cash pots i play get pretty sizeable, and the last thing i would want is to lose a hand and the pot because i timed out due to a crappy signal

They used to say the same thing about online poker in general (connection crapping out, etc.) They have ways of dealing with it, and phones and phone services are only getting better all the time. I'm willing to bet poker clients for phones will be a reality at some point.

I've been looking for a PokerStars iPhone app but there doesn't appear to be one yet, even though PokerStars purchased an mobile gaming company in 2010. The only poker app that has been approved so far for the iphone is Bwin, and even that is only available according to this iPhone poker guide http://www.pokerroomcompare.com/iphonepoker/
Now that Full Tilt poker have release their own app I can't believe that Pokerstars will wait too long before they bring out their won app for either the iPhone or Android. Hopefully they're prioritize the iPhone.
