Panther Update from Safari

I lost the system disks to my one 17" powerbook that is running Jaguar. The system has started acting up, and I want to reinstall the OS.

I recently purchased another 17" powerbook which runs panther. Is it possible to reinstall with my panther disks on my safari machine?

When you say safari, do you mean jaguar. Anyway, yes you can reinstall with the other disks. I have done this between iBooks and it has worked fine. As long as it is the same type machine.

They are identical machines, and I have no idea why I said Safari, I meant Jaguar.

So are you trying to install panther on the jaguar machine? If you are, then yes, the cd's will definately work.

Duff-Man says.....while it may let you install from the other disks, you are violating the license agreement.....oh yeah!
