running os 10.3.9

i run macjanitor and onyx regularly but everything(firefox, itunes, everything...) seems so slow these days.

Any ideas?

It is likely that you have the following

1) Huge Log Files
2) Incorrect Permissions
3) Damaged Files

To correct them
1) Open Applications/Utilities/Console - clear logs
2) Open Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility - repair permissions
3) Open Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility - Verify Disk

Also, considering your system, you should be running Tiger for optimal speed and efficiency.

i'll get to work on those.

However I thought Tiger required a faster processor than I have.

No, Tiger will run on your eMac (I'm running it on my G3 iBook). It's leopard that your thinking of, which requires a 867Mhz G4 (there are ways to get around that though). If I'm not mistaken, you can still get Tiger (OS X 10.4) from Apple over the phone, but that was a few months ago.
