Indian Music

Have you ever listened to modern Indian music, like the Indian music from Bend it Like Beckham. I have found it to be very good, and the beats are really fun to listen too. If you want a good dance groove look for Darshan by B21 it was in the soundtrack from BLB.
I can't tell what they are saying, but its addicting!

Yes! I have a few CDs by XLNC and some Bhangra collections. I've also found a few songs by Punjabi MC on Gnutella, including a very weird remix of Eminem's "lose yourself" with "beware of the boys".

I also have some Bhangra stuff, but I like the Asian-influenced music from the UK better... some of the artist that pop into my mind: Talvin Singh (Anokha), State Of Bengal, Ali Khan, Apache Indian, Asian Dub Foundation...

Punjabi MC is annoying IMO, but he sold tons of records in Germany this summer...

Ghazal & Ravi Shankar are pretty good, on the older school tip.

Sons of Arqa are good as well. A bit more on the electronic side of it, but great stuff.
