Setup, another 30, or..?

Hi guys.

I have some money to blow... Now I can either

Setup:
Desk, wire hiding, better furniture, etc. If so can you recommend?

30:
Another 30 for my mac pro

Laptop:
$1200 can buy a baseline MacBook, which is all I'd need as it's for portability not anything intensive.
 
I'd go for the laptop option from where I'm sitting. Granted, I'm only saying that because it's the option with the biggest bang effect, the other two options don't sound too 'exiting'. But then again I don't know your situation, or what I'd do if I was you.

I think you should decide what you need / want the most. =)
 
Well, I'll definitely be getting a laptop further down the line:

A laptop would be useful as I could take it out so I can get some work done without being bothered etc.

Another 30 would be great because they i can sell my two old monitors, that way I complete my non-portable setup.

A new desk etc would be really good as right now I'm in an uncomfortable position.

I'd say make that priority nr. 1 then.

Then go for the monitor second and get the laptop later if you don't need it immediately.

There, now I've completely changed my stance. =) I'll stick with what I said now.
 
To add to your confusion, I'd be willing to sacrifice temporary comfort, for new toys.

BRB: shower, no more instant replies for half an hour.

Anyway, I'd wait for the September laptop refreshes.

Although the second 30" might be awesome for the Mac Pro. I'm currently running a samsong 24" connected to my macbook, which is sweet. it'd be a bomb if i had 2 displays... its ur money, if you want another computer to tinker around with, go with the base laptop, but wait for the refreshes. if you want more "work space" go with the displays. wire hiding isnt going to work well, ive tried with my home theatre system, still a tangled mess.
 
i would go for the macboook. its a nifty little computer and i cant stress how amazing portability is.
surfing in bed, on the couch, working anywhere - just so many options.

just my opinion
