What is the quality of video for apple TV using Visual Hub

Right now I've got an entire HP computer as my HTPC. Works great and plays all my 1080p movies. I'm toying with the thought of selling it and getting a use Apple TV and using Visual Hub to scale down the movies to 720p. What kind of difference am I going to see on my 1080p LDC HDTV? Are the framerates significantly different?
 
I set VH to autocrop at 1280x720 and use constant bitrate at 6000. Other than that, choose ATV 5.1+2.0 audio. Works great.
