+1 On Logitech and MS Mice, they are worlds ahead of Apple's. Logitech make some especially nice ones.

if you wait for a deal you can snatch up a logitech vx revolution (my favorite mouse regardless of price) for around $30 give or take $5.

Sorry, but the best mouse is the mouse that is most comfortable to you. Go to some computer store and check them all out.
