How can I un-break someone's iPod touch?

Ok this friend of mine bought used iPod touch and was jailbroken how can I permanently get rid of all jailbroken evidence for this friend?

Hook it up to iTunes and restore it to factory settings from the iPod touch's home menu on iTunes.
