My Macbook keeps telling me to update my EFI firmware version to 1.2, and I keep doing so, but its getting ridiculous. I've updated my EFI firmware maybe a good 30 times or so. Here's a couple of screens.

I just don't know what to do! I don't want to have to install the EFI firmware update 1.2 forever, but my system seems like it can't recognize that I've already installed it.
Any help?

Did you actually do the reboot? There is a key combination you are supposed to hold to actually run the update. It has to be done before OS X actually boots.

If you did, then you could just ignore the update.

EDIT: Clarification. The installer is in the Utility folder, when you run the installer it will tell you what to do to get the EFI update to actually run.

Thanks a bunch. Seems to have fixed it. Wonder why Apple never made it clear that after you downloaded it, you had to run the installer...
thanks again.

It is a bit stupid.

They really should make the installer run automatically or run as part of Software Update.
