I just bought a new 24 inch Intel iMac today. 😀 I've been following the screen issues in this forum some people have been having - mine, however, is trouble-free. No dark or light spots, no banding, and no dead pixels.

I hope this is more common than what the people on this forum would have me believe. 😛

Just (end of July) bought a 24" for work. Absolutely stunning and not a single defect.

I think it is more common than what the people on this forum would have you to believe.

Had mine for about a month now. 24" 2.8 GHz. Upgraded the ram myself to 4 gig. Best computer I've ever owned. Really enjoy the screen. No problems and the glass screen just makes everything pop. Beautiful. Just Beautiful!!!

Fine here! Seriously, the 99+% with no problems never write (except right now). Those with problems, even though real, are disproportionately represented in the forurms.

had mine since December and no issues. Forums like this are usually filled with people that have issues, ones who do not rarley post about it.

mine is great, unfortunately when ppl see it they love it so much they can't help but touch and i get smudges all over

How about 20" ??
I've just planned want to buy the 20" for me since 24" too large 😱

Anyone use 20" with perfect condition ?

Ha! Nice to meet you!

I have 1 dead pixel and 2 dead sub-pixels on my 24" but I've decided to live with it since I can't afford to lose the machine to a service centre while they fix it.

A sub-pixel is one of the elements that make up an LCD pixel (each pixel consists of 3 LED elements).

OK, thanks for the answer. But wouldn't you have to have x-ray vision to see that a subatomic pixel was malfunctioning? Sheesh.

No - you can tell by looking at the color of the offending pixel. If it's supposed to be white, and it's yellow instead, the blue part is not working, for example.
