Bloomberg Publishes Steve Jobs Obituary
http://blogs.zdnet.com/BTL/?p=9825
"Bloomberg published an obituary for Apple CEO Steve Jobs after the closing bell on Wednesday and quickly retracted it. Amid all the rumors of Jobs’ and his pancreatic cancer Bloomberg’s timing couldn’t have been worse. However, the Bloomberg incident may reveal that rumors about Jobs’ health are intensifying..." Whoopsie! |

Sure am glad that I didn't see this when it was published. I would have had a heart-attack of something like that.
Sheesh.

The same thing happened with Mark Twain, didn't it? Red faces all around, I'd imagine; apologies, too.

Indeed - to quote Mr. Clemens, "The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated."

Uh, this has NOTHING to do with why Bloomberg has a Jobs obit on hand, just to be clear.

as for other obituaries i bet they have them on standby for Different Categories: Drug Addiction: Andy Dick Amy Winehouse Scott Weiland Artie Lange Keith Richards Old: Bob Dole Phyllis Diller Andy Rooney Kirk Douglas Mickey Rooney Hugh Hefner Sick Ted Kennedy Michael J Fox B.B. King Fidel Castro Dick Clark --------------- As predictable as this is, there are some Dead Pools, Deathwatch's and more. (note i have never participated in any pool, just found it funny.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_pool http://coffinitup.org.uk/wp2/ http://www.mikeboon.com/deadpool.html http://www.mylot.com/w/blogarticle/655380.aspx It is regularly a topic on Howard Stern show, at least 1-2 times a year.

Dick Clark can never die. He's already been embalmed.

The Andy Dick comment made me laugh. He came to my college one time, went out to the bars in town, and then got arrested for public drunkenness.. LOL.
Anyways, even if this was an accident, it still has to hurt a little. I mean, way to kick a man when he's down, you know? My jaw dropped when I first read this, but was happy to read it was a mistake. I think he's an awesome guy, and would love to meet him. |

Erm, that's actually awesome. How often does someone get to read their own obit?
