iChat URL (ichat://??) - what can you do?

I noticed that you can put ichat:// into the URL, and iChat will activate. This implies that you should be able to somehow start a chat with somebody or add someone to your contact list, but all I can really get it to do is just switch to the iChat application.

Anyone got any info on what format this url should have?
 
I realize this is an old post, but if you enter into a browser:
aim:goim?screenname=SCREEN-NAME-HERE

It will launch either AIM or iChat, and open a window to that person.
