Why is my Diablo II so slow?

I have a G4 400 upgraded to 1Gig AGP powermac. I play diablo ii online, but it's kind of laggy. My buddy brings his Dell Pentium II 700 mhz laptop and uses the airport connected to my router and his diablo ii does not lag. Is there any advice to decrease my laggines?

Lag seems like it would be caused by network latency, are you both online at the same time?? Perhaps when you are on you are connected to a different b.net server or something.

Diablo 2 has always been tres laggy on Bnet. It's not your computer.

If you mean your actual game speed, check out the SEARCH FEATURE.
I have already posted in detail that Diablo 2 is performing differently, depending on your OS.
