Quick Question - New Keyboard - Old Mac - Usb 2.0
Hi,
I want to buy one of the new wired keyboards for my G4. I know the new keyboard is USB 2.0 capable, and G4 is not (by standard config). But... I have added a USB 2.0 card to the G4. Will the ports on the keyboard be 2.0, and be able to handle my iPhone and camera? I'm assuming it is, but I would like to check because the apple site says: * Devices that draw high power from the USB connection, such as iPods, hard drives and some flash drives, can only be used with the new keyboard when it is attached to the aluminum iMac.

The keyboard will work (and should, even when connected to the 2.0 card). However, unless the 2.0 card sends out extra power, like the aluminum iMac does, you will unlikely be able to charge via it. I would say you would be better off using a USB extender to bring a 2.0 port to your desk, if the new keyboard doesn't work for you iPhone.
