apple refurb site is your best bet or just wait till tuesday when prices drop for the new ones

Try the refurb store or as suggested, simply wait until the 9th at the very least.

If you don't care about generation or the Sept. 9 event, go with ebay or craigslist. some are used, others migth be new.

Yes Craigslist in my area. The San Francisco bay area has a ton of new ipod touches. All the college students are selling their free ipods. From the back to school special.

ditto... brand new ipod touches going for about $100 less than retail and still shrink-wrapped.
