I bought a Hawking Ethernet bridge and for some reason after i set it up on my other computer, it still doesn't work. are there any hidden secrets to making work? thanks

Please add more details, such as the model of the computer, laptop/desktop, OS version, wireless router, just more info. That would help.

This router is designed to be put into a existing wireless network to boost the signal

You need to when your setting it up, set it to be use as a Access point rather then a bridge

Wireless-G Access Point Mode:
In the Wireless Access Point Mode, the HWBA54G allows for any existing wired network to go wireless at blazing 54Mbps speed! Simply attach the Wireless Access Point using the included Ethernet cable to an open port in your router or switch and enjoy high-speed wireless networking. You can also use the Access Point to cover "dead spots" in your existing wireless network by placing the unit in a room that is lacking wireless coverage.

Wireless-G Ethernet Bridge Mode:
The Wireless Ethernet Bridge Mode enables any wired Ethernet Ready device to connect to your existing wireless network using the HWBA54G. Connect your PC, notebook, printer, network camera or even an entire wired network to the HWBA54G and establish a wireless connection to your wireless network. At home, you can connect your backhouse to the wireless network in your front house without having to run wires across the backyard. In the office you can wirelessly connect your main office network to your warehouse network without having to run long cables across your office floor. The possibilities are endless and the "driver-free" installation is simple.

okay, it's a g4, 1gb ram, 80gb memory, prosessor speed is 500 MHz, dual core prosessor. i tried changing it from bridge to acsess point and nothing changed. when i do network diagnostics, on the left where it says "built in ethernet" next to it it has a green dot. network settings has a yellow dot, and the rest (ISP, Internet, Server) have red dots, and all say failed below them. any ideas?
