Iphone(Not 3G) screen not responding...! :-(

I woke up this morning and i realized my iphone wasn't responding to my touch. However the home and the on/off button were working but i couldn't slide to do anything. Searching through the internet i found some solutions. One was pressing the 2 buttons so i can reboot it. i rebooted several times but still the screen was not responding. I also tried restoring it but the screen still didn't react to my touch. I have my iphone since march and untill now i had no problems. Is there anything i can do? The fact that i live in Greece and there is no applestore in my country makes it more difficult. Thanx in advance for your help. I hope somebody can give me a solution...

It sounds like a hardware failure and as such there will be no software or related fix.

The only choice you really have is to contact Apple support if it is still under warranty.

I think there is a system restore or a hard reset that deletes everythin on the phone and sets it up as a new phone, have you tried doing this?

How old is it?

If it's still within warrenty, book an appointment at the genius bar and don't mention you hacked it.

Over here in the UK they swap the phone for you within the first year, they dont send it off while you have to sit there. If they see it has a fault that can not be fixed at the genius bar, they send your phone away and give you a refurbed one.

Call up and ask.
