Ipod Touch 2G Work With Apple iPod Hifi or iHome

do you know if you can still use the apple ipod hifi or the ihome to either charge or play the new ipod touch?

You can still play music normally with a Touch 2G but the iPod does not charge with an iPod HIFI (??)

In fact it seems to be a general problem with all kind of acesories, go and see this:

i can definitely confirm that the iHome iH9 charges the 2nd Generation iPod Touch, as I use both everyday. Not sure about the iPod Hi-FI though...

My iHome iH9 works fine with my 2nd Generation iPod Touch, but I am currently trying to figure out how to get rid of a very annoying static noise my iPod Touch causes my iHome to make.

So far I haven't noticed any noise coming from mine...and i have the same iH9 and 2nd Gen iPod Touch. I'll have to mess around with it and see if I start hearing any buzzing.
