FCP: Help With Project Setup

I have some screen capture clips that are H.264 files with dimensions of 960 x 600. .mov extensions.

I need to load them into Final Cut Pro for editing. The output will be the same 960 x 600 sizes.

I'm pretty new to FC. Can someone walk me through this process?

Thanks.

h.264 is not a codec made for editing. it is strictly a distribution codec.

you'll have to transcode the videos to a format more suited for editing (like ProRes).

As stated before, transcode your footage to AIC or ProRes first. Then you'll want to adjust your sequence settings (Cmd+0) to match the dimensions and timebase of the video.
