what choices of chatting applications are there!!?

now in the mac theres built in ichat for video conferences, but I want to chat normally to my friends so I use MS messenger which is half as good as the one in windows so it sucks, my question what other program I could use for chatting?! thnx

I use aMSN for video chat - though not as often as I would like as I often can not connect to home 🙁

use Adium! there's an unofficial version that uses MSNP15 which allows offline messaging and shows status messages. it's great.
