new microsoft ad just came out! at least i saw it anyway. it features a bunch of people all saying "im a pc" including astronauts, bloggers, students, researchers, farmers, and a bearded guy. actually i think its pretty good comeback to the get a mac ads, anybody else see it?

also one weird part, at the beginning it showed an email address below the character suppose to be hodges, sean@microsoft.com i think, but i could be wrong on the name...

Well there you have it.

It's ok, not anything mind blowing, but then again I didn't expect anything mind blowing.

I figured they were going to do the whole 'diverse' pc thing.

Microsoft's "I'm a PC" Ad Airs

Phase II of Microsoft's $300 million rebranding ad campaign started airing tonight during prime time. The ad showed a series of individuals saying "I'm a PC" in various settings.

The ad is a direct response to Apple's "Get a Mac" ads where Justin Long and John Hodgman play the Mac and PC characters, respectively. Microsoft is embracing the "I'm a PC" line in their new ad campaign. The ad is presently being hosted at Gizmodo.

I hope you watched it before posting...

I like this one and where it's going with all the Windows users out there.

I thought it was a pretty good "response" to Apple's ads.

It's a lot more direct this time. You don't need to be a computer nerd or historian to understand all the subtle meanings of all the characters and interactions. It just boils down to there are a lot of Windows users everywhere. You don't need to fit into a stereotype but Windows lets you do what you want.

It's a nice response to Apple's ads, but it lacks the elegance and wit that Apple Ads have.

i thought that astronaut was carl weathers for a second.

i don't believe half of those people use windows.

I love the old bandwagon ploy in the commercial. "All these people use PC's, that's why you should too." Please. I learned about that logical fallacy in 9th grade.

Wow. That's pathetic.

Also, Hodgman plays a PC, not a PC user. Though this could explain Longoria's lack of acting skills.

Missing one point

Microsoft should really put that $300 million to improving its failed Vista, that's what people want, not some lame ads.
