Is there any way that i can activate iphone 2.0.1 with out any sim

No, you cannot. The iPhone needs a SIM card to be activated, it cannot be used unless the phone functions are active

110%. The iPhone is a phone, and Apple intends for it to be used that way. The only way to have a comparable device is to buy an iPod.

Activate iphone 3G problem

I've the same problem.
I bought iphone 3G (activated) from ebay and I clicked restore from itune.
Suddenly, it locked.
It said "Insert an unlocked and valid SIM to activate iphone".

What should I do in order to activate it?
Can I use my friend SIM card (AT&T not iphone plan) to activate at AT&T?

I've no idea how to activate my iphone. I shouldn't have restored from itune, right?

Just download the program winpwn2.5, and jailbreake, then unlock it that way. This for windows. there is a mac version for it too, but i forgot its name.

Are you sure that is work (for activation) for 3G?
I know that is work for the 1st generation, but 3G???

use quickpwn and activate it. And yes, do not restore an activated phone that you did not get directly from the phone company

If I bought an unlocked iPhone if I restore it will it set it back to normal with out frying it?

If u restore it, its not unlocked anymore, its going to be ATT only.
However u can unlock it again and its really easy, just download winpwn2.5 and read the instructions on the site ur downloading it from.
