Canon HV 20 with Final Cut Express HD. and Tiger.

Hi there,
I have a 17" older iMac (with the iSight camera) and final cut express hd.
before i go buying a camera - i want to make SURE the canon HV20 works perfectly with it, and via what connection.
I don't want to have to download any programs or anything - just capture in fce. thank you!
