iphone 3g: how to disable autocorrect?
When I'm sending an sms, how do I turn off that annoying autocorrect function? It's takes forever to type a simple message because I have to keep re-typing things that stupid autocorrect changes.

sorry, there is no "official" way to enable/disable auto correct, but there might be one if you jailbreak

incorrect. it is possible to disable auto-correct
simple add another keyboard to use. the default is english (US). Add another one. It doesn't matter which. Once you added it, the auto-correction button allows you to turn off. You can leave the keyboard in english and never use the other language, but wil not auto-correct. No need to change firmware, to add any apps, or to erase anything. SIMPLE.
