I have aboslutely no idea why, but for some reason, on all three of my macintosh computers Mail.app seems to be opening up periodically for one reason or another.
I've tried diagnosing the matter myself, by reviewing the console, and there do appear to be some (possibly) relevant details that appear, but I haven't got the slightest idea what they mean, and I was hoping someone might be able to help me figure them out?
Here is what appears in the console which I believe is right at about the time Mail.app appears to lauch (because I noticed an entry in the console referencing Letterbox.plugin, which is a 3-veritcal pane plugin I use with Mail.app):

Does it have anything to do with iCal alerts (none of which are actually configured to send an email alert...only "Message with Sound" alerts)?
Might it have something to do wtih SyncServices, or .Mac/MobileMe? - I think that it may, but the one thing that really confuses me with this possibility is that Mail.app seems to also be launching on my secondary desktop computer (G5 PPC 10.5.5) - and on that particular machine, I've never once setup MobileMe/.Mac to sync anything at all (and I've checked the address book.app, iCal, etc, etc and nothing appears to be configured to sync with MobileMe (and in the case of the address book, its also not configured to sync with Google, nor with Yahoo!)??
I have done all of the usual troubleshooting steps, such as running the full battery of utility/maintenance tools via Cocktail (permissions, cache clearing, cron scripts, etc), I have restarted my computer, I have logged out repeatedly, etc, etc...
I am now at a complete lost without the slightest idea of how to resolve the matter...Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
