I currently have my itunes Lib on my external HD connected to my airport extreme base station. I use the Genius to create playlists and would like to copy music of the created playlist to my laptop.

Is there any way to do this?

Also if I connect my ipod to my laptop, shouldn't I be able to plug the ipod to my laptop and play the music from my ipod through my laptop? Music is always grayed out when I connect my ipod to the laptop in itunes.

just open the playlist in iTunes select all the songs and drag them to your external. this will copy the songs as iTunes has its own library.

you can listen to songs on your iPod by enabling manual sync in your iPod's preferences.

Copy playlist songs to laptop from external HD

I currently have my itunes Lib on my external HD connected to my airport extreme base station. I use grouping, comments, and rating to create smart playlists and would like to copy music from these playlists to my laptop.

Is there any way to do this?
