Help with iWeb sites
Hi all,
I recently had to back-up everything from my Mac, as I had to take it into the Genius Bar at my local Store to get it fixed.I did back-up the "Sites" folder on my Mac, thinking that I could import these into iWeb when I got my Mac back. I then transferred all my data back across, then tried to see if I could edit the pages in iWeb. I can't seem to find a way of importing and editing them, does anyone know a way, or is this just a problem with iWeb? Please, please help me! PS - I host with MobileMe, the files are still hosted, and the site is still accessible. Thanks, Dylan

The actual iWeb file is located in ~/Application Support/iWeb in a file called "Domain". As far as I know there is no way to reconstruct the site file by importing web pages from a published site. If you have a backup of at least your user folder then you should be OK by dragging the Domain file from your backup and dropping it into the iWeb folder overwriting the Domain file that's in there, if not then I think you're out of luck and will have to manually recreate the site.
BTW, is "Scotlad" (from your profile location) anywhere near "Scotland"? :-) |
