AppShopper.com: Find New Apps and Price Drops

With the removal of "All iPhone Apps" link from the iTunes App Store, it's become harder to find the newest App Releases. To fill the void, readers can use AppShopper.com, a new site that tracks New Apps, Updates and Price Changes for iPhone and iPod Touch applications.

The main view gives you a reverse chronological view of the latest changes found in the App Store. If you are interested specifically in just New Apps or just Price Changes, those can be easily filtered. Categories can also be listed individually.

A few useful examples:

http://appshopper.com/new - new apps
http://appshopper.com/prices - price drops and increases
http://appshopper.com/new/free - new free apps
http://appshopper.com/prices/free - apps that are now free
http://appshopper.com/games/new - all new games

Many additional features in the works (including search), but the core functionality is in place.

Nice work. Just what I've been looking for. Would love to be able to post comments on apps. I still find 'reviews' on the App Store to be pretty useless and in need of serious moderation. Click yes if you agree.

ya, comments are under consideration, but it might introduce the same problems as the app store. though perhaps the smaller audience would help.

There's a lot of potential features that could be incorporated. There are a few that I'm still working on that will get it started though.

Totally replaces the link that iTunes took away from us. "You The MAN!" I was just fumbling around pressing the NEXT ---> button on iTunes App Store...

I still can't believe that iTunes removed such functionality. The organization of the App Store is TERRIBLE!
Thank you for the new links.

Thanks! Added to my RSS-reader. This will fill the void left after the removal of those links in the App Store

Great site.

I disagree. I still don't see a replacement for the "All Apps" that was on iTunes.

Very nice site. It provides enough options to find what you're looking for without being messy.

I LOVE that site! I've had it bookmarked ever since it was first mentioned in one of the posts. The only thing that I really miss is the ability to at least see how many stars that it has in iTunes. I don't mind going over to iTunes to read the reviews, but it would be nice to see if it's even worth doing. If it's has 1 or 2 stars, I'd pass right over it.

Thanks, Arn! It satisfies my Apps addiction! LOL

Arn -- Thank you, thank you, thank you for this site!! It really is wonderful, and fills the gap Apple left when they removed all those useful links from iTunes. In fact, I like using your site better -- so screw Apple!

I also think an App Store app would be lovely. Having an easy way to look at new apps on the phone (without all that pinching and zooming), and to have a link directly to the phone's App Store, would be great -- although are links to there still not working?

Also: Just noticed...no webclip icon?

AppShopper is one of my favorite RSS feeds. I didn't realize before that I could watch for "newly free" apps as well as new apps.

Web App would be nice, but I would not even bother dropping one line of code on a official App Store App as Apple would definitly reject that. Just like the PodCast App, if Apple feels that it duplicates a funtionality that Apple has implemented in some way or another, it's a no go.

I'll see about a web app. less useful right now with iPhone 2.1 since mobile-safari links to app store are broken.

I hear this is fixed in 2.2.
