I was wondering if anyone happened to know of any good alternatives to Movie Magic Scheduling, to help aid someone in organizing their film productions? I like what Movie Magic does, but I refuse to shell out the cash for an app that after all these years, still isn't offering a complete MacOSX version. The only other program I have come across for MacOSX is Director's Notebook (http://homepage.mac.com/directors_notebook/). So any comments, suggestions, opinions on this subject matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey thanks Mebsat for the recommendation. I've heard of PitchBoards, but this is the first I hear of Gorilla. So far looks like a great program, maybe even better than Movie Magic, and cheaper. 😀

New version on the way

I just talked to Entertainment Partners and they told me that they realease an OS X version (ver 4.0?) this april. No exact date, but at least a timeframe and no more classic mode.

Pocket Call Sheet

Pocket Call Sheet is my pic, it's iPad native, which is the only call sheet / scheduling app on the app store which is.

Gorilla 5 Released and it's awesome!

I know this is following an older post, but I just downloaded Gorilla 5 and it is absolutely, hands-down, a much better scheduling and budgeting program than Movie Magic.

How about taking your entire production to the cloud, accessible from anywhere, on any device? This is the way of the future in production scheduling. Head on in and sign up for a beta, free for a limited time while we are still testing!

Definitely agree, I used Setkick for a feature production recently and it was amazing.

I estimate it saved about 2 weeks, just by generating the PDF callsheets for me.

Better and cheaper than Movie Magic and Gorilla! (plus you can use you ipad too)

Another vote for Setkick.
I'm not up to callsheets yet, but the script import and scheduling were a big time saver for me.

PMP - cloud based collaborative platform

Why not try this? PMP - https://www.productionminds.com. It's a brand new cloud based pre-production solution for film/video professionals. It can be used for script development, location scouting, budgeting, etc.
