Speakers that will Charge the ipod 3g?

Are there any speakers that will charge the iphone 3g? Or any of the new ipods for that matter? I read that apple is discontinuing the charging via firewire and is now converting to usb. Is that right? Are there any converters, or do I need to find new speakers?

I have the iHome iH8 and it charges my iPhone 3G plus my other iPods.

I have the Bose Sound Dock 2 and it's awesome, it charges the iPhone 3g
